y dnt u jus strip it down and do it properly?

  • marlztah:

that was terrible… it was basically 8 mins of expaining how to mask off (badly) before painting

  • kevykev38:

Easier to use Masking tape. Using masking tape first around all perimeters of the “windows” than you cut the paper to fit that way you don’t really have to fight with paper to begin with. Just a suggestion..

  • Graphwize:

Forget doing that, just take the deck plate out, spray paint it,get some polyurethane up on it,let it dry,pop it back on and ur good to go!

  • jovelie:

He’s using the WRONG tape! You need masking tape. It wont leave residue. go to your local auto paint supply store. They will have the tape, cleaner, scotch brite pades in different grits for light sanding.

hey waz up? wat u could do is use stickers instead…i have done it n it looks great…u can buy a large sheet of any design n cut it accordingly n stick it….it would be more nicer n safer for the players…

  • Dessotto:

  • two40xwunup:

Hey ellaskins, the other way to do this is to take the table apart as well. I think it will be easier this way but results cleaner if you take the entire faceplate off.

  • x1n933k:

Untrue. If you’re careful with an exacto or stanley knife you don’t need to cut through the tape completely, only partially and peel away, it will rip at that seem.

Next, yes, you can take it apart but one of the first SL-1200′s I had was ugly but it worked and when I took it apart I had no idea what I was doing, lost a few screws did a bit of damage and turned a working player into a partially working player needing repairs. To each their own.

  • djwilko7:

  • willgax:

isnt it more simpel to just disambel it .. and leave just the the top ? and then spray it ?:)

  • DjBurgess08:

  • paco0153:
